FilipinoEventsNearMe.org is a community-powered calendar of Filipino-American events, festivals, and cultural gatherings across the United States. It is operated by an individual based in California. By using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. About the Site

FilipinoEventsNearMe.org is a free event discovery platform. We do not charge attendees to browse or discover events. Organizers may optionally purchase featured placement to increase visibility; standard listings are always free.

2. Event Submission Terms

By submitting an event, you confirm that:

• You have the authority to list the event on behalf of the organizing party
• All event details (date, time, location, description) are accurate to the best of your knowledge
• The event has genuine Filipino-American cultural relevance
• You grant FilipinoEventsNearMe.org a non-exclusive license to display, promote, and index the event information

We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any submission that does not meet our Community Guidelines.

3. Accuracy of Event Information

Event listings are sourced from organizer submissions and public data. Event details — including dates, times, locations, ticket prices, and lineups — can change or be cancelled at any time by the organizing party.

4. Organizer Claim & Account Terms

Organizers may claim listings to manage their event information. By claiming a listing, you:

• Confirm that you are an authorized representative of the organizing entity
• Accept responsibility for keeping event details accurate and up to date
• Agree to promptly update or remove listings for cancelled or postponed events
• Agree not to use your account to post spam, misleading events, or events unrelated to the Filipino-American community

We reserve the right to revoke organizer access for violations of these terms.

5. Featured Event Boosts

Organizers may purchase Featured placement to increase visibility on the site. By purchasing a featured boost:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Featured status is applied for the purchased duration
• Featured status does not guarantee a specific number of views or attendance
• Refunds are not available once a featured boost is applied
• We reserve the right to remove featured status (with a prorated refund) if the event violates these terms

Featured placements are clearly marked as such on the site. We do not accept payment to alter editorial rankings or organic search results.

6. Sponsor & Partner Terms

Organizations that sponsor the site or become community partners receive placement per separately agreed terms. Sponsor content is clearly labeled. Sponsors do not influence editorial decisions about event listings. Sponsorship agreements are governed by individual contracts and these Terms of Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated event listings
• Use the site to harass, target, or harm any organizer, community member, or individual
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Scrape or reproduce site data without written permission
• Attempt to manipulate rankings, search results, or featured placements through unauthorized means
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose

8. Intellectual Property

The design, code, editorial content, and brand of FilipinoEventsNearMe.org are owned by the operator. Event names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective organizers. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the site and in promotional materials.

9. Affiliate Links & Monetization

This site participates in the Amazon Associates program. Some links to products may be affiliate links — purchases through these links earn us a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence event listings or editorial content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

This site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of any listing, or that events will occur as described. Attendance at any listed event is at your own discretion and risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, FilipinoEventsNearMe.org is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, reliance on its content, or attendance at any listed event.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
